貓奴必看！貓咪就是一種傲嬌（They're proud because they care nothing）但是讓人不得不愛的動物，養貓的人不在少數，可是連愛貓人士可能都不知道和貓有關的俗語或諺語，小編一如往常地貼心幫大家整理出常見的英文說法，不僅有趣又實用，港快學起來吧！

Idioms with Cats:
1. There’s more than one way to skin a cat. 有的是辦法(或: 辦法不止一種)。(ph.)
(例句) There is more than one way to skin a cat; keep positive and try another method of reaching your goal.
其實方法不只一個；重要的是保持正向的態度並試試不同方法達到目標。
2. Cat got your tongue? （舌頭給貓叼走了嗎？）說不出話來了嗎？為什麼不說話？(ph.)
通常用在質問的口氣
(例句) Answer my question! Why don’t you say anything? Has the cat got your tongue?
回答我的問題！你為什麼連話都不說清楚？舌頭打結了嗎？
3. have kittens 心煩意亂；焦躁不安 (ph.)
(例句) My mom will have kittens if I'm not home by midnight.
要是我半夜還沒回到家, 我媽媽一定著急得要命。
4. bell the cat 為別人冒險; (為他人利益)承擔危險的事 (ph.)
bell the cat出自一則貓和老鼠的預言故事：老鼠們為了不被貓抓住，就想出了在貓脖子上繫上鈴鐺的良策，但誰去給貓繫鈴呢？Who will bell the cat? 於是，bell the cat指的就是「捨己為人，為他人的利益冒險」。
(例句) Everybody made suggestions but on one actually offered to bell the cat.
人人都提出了建議，但去沒人挺身而出，去承擔那項重擔。
5. like a cat on a hot tin roof （如坐在鐵皮屋頂的貓）如坐針氈；侷促不安 (ph.)
(例句) I’m so stressed out! I need to calm down. I’m like a cat on a hot tin roof.
我壓力太大了！我得冷靜下來。我就像熱鍋上的螞蟻一樣，焦急難耐！
6. let the cat out of the bag (尤指無意中)洩露秘密; 露馬腳 (ph.)
(例句) I wanted mother's present to be a secret, but my sister let the cat out of the bag.
給母親的禮物我原想保密, 可是妹妹卻露了馬腳。
7. play cat and mouse with 玩貓捉老鼠的遊戲; 對...欲擒故縱 (ph.)
(例句) The 32-year-old singer spent a large proportion of the week playing cat and mouse with the press.
那位32歲的歌手這週大部分的時間都花在與媒體玩貓戲老鼠的遊戲上。
8. let the cat out of the bag（讓貓從袋裡出來）在不小心的狀況洩漏秘密，真相大白
(例句) Their engagement was to be a secret but the ring on her finger let the cat out of the bag.
他們兩個訂婚的事原本想保密的，但她手上的戒指卻洩漏秘密了。
9. enough to make a cat laugh 使人笑掉大牙,極其可笑 (ph.)
(例句) Oh please, that will never happen—the idea is enough to make a cat laugh.
